Consistently ranked among the best by the nation’s foremost golf publications, Kingsmill’s immaculate courses define the resort as the region’s premier golf destination. As the largest golf resort in Virginia, Kingsmill boasts three world-class courses, one nine-hole, par-3 course and an array of golf amenities. These professionally-designed courses offer an opportunity to experience golf on challenging holes and beautiful vistas.

The River Course was designed by the legendary Pete Dye, who also coordinated an extensive renovation of the course in 2004-05. This magnificent course was redesigned to accommodate a wider variety of golf enthusiasts, providing a challenging yet enjoyable game. The design requires accuracy off the tee and precise shots into greens which are well protected by strategically placed bunkers. Holes 16, 17 & 18, the signature of the River Course, are not only challenging but also introduce golfers to the majestic James River. This course has been home to over 25 years of PGA and LPGA tournament play.

Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Plantation Course, with many landmarks from Richard Kingsmill’s 1736 plantation incorporated in the layout. Considered a challenging but fair layout, the 6,432-yard course features undulating greens, tight fairways and well-placed bunkers. The Plantation Course has been ranked by Golf for Women Magazine as one of the "Top 10 Courses for Women Golfers." Located adjacent to the River Course, main clubhouse and driving range, the Plantation Course provides golfers with a full-service golfing experience.

The Woods Course, which was designed by Tom Clark and two-time U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange, is a stand-alone, parkland-style course. The Woods Course features wide fairways, deep ravines and a spectacular wooded setting. It was voted one of the "Top Ten Courses to Play in Virginia" by Golfweek and ranked one of "America’s Best Resort Courses". A unique feature of this course is a double green shared with the 15th hole and the 12th hole with a pot bunker separating the two halves of the green.

The nine-hole, par-3 Bray Links course is designed to suit all types of players, from beginners to low-handicappers. Nestled between the James River and the Resort Center, course holes range in length from 58 to 109 yards.
