You never know what you’re going to find at Whistler’s Classic Antiques in the Kingsmill Shops. Just ask Peter, the owner. Peter brought an antique dresser into the store from England. He got a good price on it because one of the drawers wouldn’t close properly. Peter discovered that there was a piece of paper jammed in the back of the drawer that kept it from working. He pulled out the piece of paper and was pleased to see that the drawer now worked perfectly. He was even more pleased when he found the paper was a letter from the owner, bequeathing the dresser to his caretaker. It was signed- “Winston Churchill.”
While you might not always find a piece of furniture from Winston Churchill’s home at Whistler’s, you WILL find exquisite and affordable fine English and French antiques. And while they may not always have historical significance, they will become a beautiful and cherished part of your home- and YOUR history.
